The Author

Andy Paula is the author of Love's Labor, a romance novella published by Indireads, a Toronto-based e-publishing house. Love's Labor was inaugurated by the Hon.Minister of State, H.R.D., Dr.Shashi Tharoor and commended by former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam for its electronic format as 'saving the environment'. Love's Labor is also available on Goodreads.

Andy has written both fiction and non-fiction for the digital and print media. Her short story Anjum was published simultaneously by Indireads and eFiction India, and earned her accolades both sides of the border. It also listed Andy as an Amazon and a Barnes & Noble author.

Her three blogs- Food Stall, iThink and Yatra- take readers into Andy's journey as chef, thinker and explorer.

Andy Paula is the nom de plume of Anindita Sarkar.

The Trainer

Anindita is a postgraduate in English from Banaras Hindu University with over six years experience in Corporate Training. iGATE Global Solutions(now iGATE Patni) was her launch pad where she certified in and conducted the Train the Trainer program & Customer Service Skills for the mid- management.

She specializes in Soft Skills/ Behavioral Training - Presentations Skills, Public Speaking, Team Building, Business Communication, Enhancing Self-Esteem, Image & Grooming, Office Etiquette etc. apart from training in Culture Awareness (US, UK, Canada, and Australia), Voice & Accent and Language Enhancement.

Anindita is Six Sigma trained and currently freelances as Soft Skills & Language trainer for MNCs , does Voice-Overs for web-based trainings and is a Content Developer for Soft Skills modules.

She started her career in the academia where she was Board Examiner for ISC and served as HOD, English, in various public schools in India. As Editor-in-Chief for the school Year Books, she wielded her pen with elan and inculcated the love of reading in impressionable minds. She was deeply involved in dramatics, debates & declamations throughout her career.

Anindita is certified in Teaching of English (IGNOU).

The Social Activist

Strongly inclined towards the emancipation of women and convinced that the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world, Anindita envisions a world where a woman has her rightful place in society, is not subjected to mindless objectification, is aware of her rights and dares to dream.

She is a Trustee of Women's Synergy, a non-profit based in Delhi, that works towards empowering single women to self-reliance post a personal travail. WS helps foster symbiotic relationships amongst women from varied socio-economic, educational and other backgrounds so as to facilitate their individual and collective growth. Anindita brings her training experience to WS, conducting workshops for various target groups to enable them to recognize their inner leader and join the mainstream.

Her pranayam and meditation practices have helped Anindita stay centered and benefitted women's groups to find their calm.
